How does the SEO & website audit work?

When completing the audit I like to look at the full picture of your business goals, website and SEO.  This allows me to give you actionable insights on how to improve your website and wider online presence to both optimise for search and meet your end business goal. 

 

Before beginning the audit I will schedule a call with you in order to understand your business and the key goals of your website. Your primary website goal may be generating enquires, making online sales or simply signing up to your mailing list. It's important for me to understand this primary goal and purpose from the very beginning so that I can complete an audit focussed on driving towards this.  

 

The review I complete will differ depending on whether your website has an e-commerce function or is service based, more information on this below. What won't change is the core of the audit:

  • Review of your website usability across mobile, tablet & desktop devices

  • Review of your website content 

    • Does this meet the need of your visitors and drive them to convert​

    • Does your content contain relevant search keywords

    • Is your page content structured optimally 

  • Review of your websites ranking for key search terms relating to your business 

  • Keyword review

  • Site speed review 

  • Backlink review

  • Review of your site analytics to evaluate current incoming traffic and user activity on your website (dependent on on site analytics already being in place and shared with me)

  • Local search review (if relevant to your business)

    • Google Business Profile​

    • Local citations
